Research Involvement

FAMRI announces two studies which involve participation by non-smoking flight attendants who experienced occupational second hand smoke exposure and are at risk for diseases related to that exposure.

FAMRI’s Center of Excellence at University of California, San Francisco, conducts clinical evaluations and cardiopulmonary testing. The contact information for enrollment is by phone: 1-800-767-6906; e-mail: famri@ucsfmedctr.org or through the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education website.

Flight Attendants who flew while cabins were full of smoke are invited to fill out the questionnaire as participants in the study even if you are unable to physically go to the clinic at UCSF.

The FAMRI-IELCAP initiative at Mount Sinai Medical Center is accepting enrollment for appointments for screening of diseases caused by exposure to second hand smoke in the work environment, particularly by non-smoking flight attendants.
